DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks have officially signed first-round draft pick Sergio De Larrea, the team announced Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the 20-year-old guard joins Dallas after a standout season with Spain’s Valencia Basket. The 6-foot-7 playmaker averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 45.2% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range in 23 games.
De Larrea helped lead Valencia to the Liga ACB championship and was named the league’s Best Young Player. He also earned MVP honors at the 2025 Spanish Super Cup after averaging 18.0 points to help Valencia capture the title.
The signing adds another young, versatile piece to a Mavericks roster that continues to build around reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Cooper Flagg under new head coach Dusty May.
