DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Mavericks and head coach Jason Kidd have mutually agreed to part ways, the team announced Monday.
Kidd leaves Dallas after four seasons that included a trip to the NBA Finals and multiple playoff appearances. Mavericks President Masai Ujiri thanked Kidd for his leadership and professionalism during his time with the organization.
The Mavericks said the franchise will immediately begin a comprehensive search for its next head coach as the team enters a pivotal offseason.
