LOS ANGELES — The Dallas Mavericks showed fight, but couldn’t finish the job in a 116-103 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night.

Rookie Cooper Flagg led Dallas with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Marvin Bagley III added 21 off the bench. The Mavericks were nearly perfect at the line, going 25-of-26, including a 10-for-10 effort from Max Christie.

After trailing by 23 early, Dallas rallied to tie the game and briefly take a third-quarter lead on a bucket from Ryan Nembhard.

But Kawhi Leonard took over late, helping the Clippers regain control and pull away in the fourth.

Dallas heads next to face the Phoenix Suns as the regular season winds down.
