SMU vs. Tulane For AAC Championship Title

DALLAS, TEXAS — The SMU Mustangs (10-2, 8-0 AAC) are gearing up take on the Tulane Green Wave (11-1, 8-0) on Saturday in the AAC Championship down in New Orleans at Yulman Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET
Last time we saw SMU in week 13, the Mustangs showed no mercy towards Navy, defeating them 59-14.

SMU has now won 8 straight games, but now there is a concern as QB Preston Stone suffered an injury. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Stone will not play in the AAC game due to a broken leg. What does this mean for the Mustangs offense? Well, they will rely on the redshirt freshman Kevin Jennings from South Oakcliff who will fill in the big shoes for Preston Stone.

Now, when it comes to The Green Wave, they knocked down UTSA 29-16 in week 13. Tulane has come a long way this season since losing to No. 11 Ole Miss back in Week 2. The Green Wave has strung together 10 consecutive wins to end the season. Tulane is currently ranked No. 18 in tbe CFP polls, while SMU stands at No. 25.
If the Mustangs can pull off a victory from Tulane this will be their first conference championship won in 40 years.
