Mavericks Fall To Magic 94-87

ORLANDO – The winning streak has come to an end as the Dallas Mavericks hit the road to take on the Orlando Magic where they suffered a loss of 94-87. Defense was not on point early for Dallas as Orlando scored 22 of their eventual 24 points in the paint. Offense did not play their best for Dallas.

The Mavs seemed to look lethargic a majority of the game as offense missed plenty of shots along with no chemistry to connect open passes, many were overlooked. The Mavericks simply could not convert on the variety of Orlando turnovers.

Spencer Dinwiddie led the Mavs tonight with 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Following Luka Dončić with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Dončić ‘s 30 point streak came to an end tonight, and Dončić commented, “every NBA team can beat you and I played terrible, but I think as a group we didn’t play good. We have to approach the game better.”

Head coach Jason Kidd stated, “we just missed open shots. In this league you can’t miss open shots. We got a lot of good looks, we’ve just got to make them.”

Dallas will now head to Capital One Arena to take on the Wizards Thursday night. Stay tuned.
