Wings Secure 68-51 Win Over Seattle Storm

SEATTLE, WA- The Dallas Wings snap their two-game losing streak in tonight’s win against the Seattle Storm 68-51. Dallas has now advanced to 6-4 this season, losing only 2 games on the road.

The team dominated the first quarter as forward Kayla Thornton led the team with 7 points. The Wings held Seattle to under 32% shooting heading into the second quarter. Wings lead 21-13.

The second quarter started slower than the start of the game as the first basket wasn’t scored until almost 2 minutes in. Awak Kuier and Satou Saballys were solid on defense, snagging 7 rebounds combined. Seattle outscored the wings by 4 points, but that wasn’t enough to take the lead. Wings up at the half 31-27.

The Dallas Offense came out shooting in the third, although many shots were missed, guard Allisha Gray came out hot scoring 9 out of the 20 points made in the third quarter. Dallas leads 51-40.

All five players on this Dallas team rallied up and contributed in the 4th quarter to shut out Seattle. Satou Sabally was able to find spacing within her team on the offense after finishing with 6 assists. Each quarter, Dallas kept Seattle under 20 points, forcing the team to shoot 31.7% from the field.

Tonight’s offense was led by Allisha Grays 18-point game, followed by Arike Ogunbowales’s 16 points. Satou Sabally had an incredible 11 rebound game to finish Seattle off.

Dallas wins 68-51.
