Wings Fall To Storm 100-97

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings fall to the Seattle Storm 100 – 97 in OT at home Saturday night.

Arike Ogunbowale had a team-high 28 points for the Wings while Marina Mabrey dropped in 26 points. They are the first college duo turned pro to score 25 points on the same night in WNBA history.  Both played at Notre Dame.

“I talked to Marina after Gray left and gave her a different goal for our team in order for us to be successful. They can shoot the basketball; they can make big time shots. But they are so used to playing together, working together, so it is just a great combination between the two…I have a lot of trust in [Mabrey] and Arike is just Arike…we will be good team. We aren’t there yet, but we will be a good team,” says Wings Head Coach Vickie Johnson.

The Wings hit the road as they take on the New York Liberty Monday.
