Four Cowboys Named To NFL’s Top 100 So Far

FRISCO, Texas – NFL Network’s annual countdown of the top 100 players around the league voted by their peers has been announced up to the 31st overall. Offensive guard, Zack Martin was the first to be named to the list to represent the Dallas Cowboys, at 71st overall. Running back, Ezekiel Elliott, was next to being selected as the 54th best player in the league.

The countdown continued from number 40, down to announcing the 31st overall in the league, and two more Cowboys were named to the list. On the offensive side of the line of scrimmage, left tackle and five-time Pro Bowl, Tyron Smith, was voted as the 39th best player, and his teammate on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage, defensive end, DeMarcus Lawrence was named the 34th overall. Over his four seasons with the ‘silver and blue,’ Lawrence has amassed 133 combined tackles, 84 total, and 23.5 sacks in 48 game starts.

A huge testament to the talent and heart of these players being named to the top 100 list, because opposing elite players from around the NFL that play against these Cowboys, are the ones that recognize their skill set and voted them in. These four were voted as the best, by the best.

DeMarcus Lawrence took to twitter with a statement displaying his determination moving forward “ 33 spots to go. #motivation.” For “the tank,” being the 34th ranked is not good enough. He has earned his nickname by being one of the most feared pass rushers in the league, but he will not stop there. He is striving to be the best at his position, as all four of these Dallas Cowboys are and the statistics reveal their abilities and commitment on the field. More to see from these four players in 2018, and no doubt on the NFL’s top 100 list from the Cowboys, as the last 30 players are announced!!
