ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Oklahoma State University Loryn Goodwin was drafted in the second round by the Dallas Wings in the 2018 WNBA Draft. Goodwin’s college career spanned six years, five head coaches and four schools. Before OSU Goodwin was named Conference USA’s Newcomer of the Year last season at UTSA where she was named first-team all-conference pick and all-academic selection, scoring 17.5 points, assists (4.5) and steals (3.0) per game and was UTSA’s second-leading rebounder at 5.9 per game.
In 2015-15, Goodwin earned All-Big East honorable mention status at Butler University and was the teams leading scorer with 15.6 points per game.
Goodwin spent her 2012-13 campaign at North Texas where she was named Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, averaging 13.1 points per game and broke the school’s record for most 3-pointers with 64, second nationally among freshmen with 83 steals.
Goodwin can immediately fill a role as the Wings’ backup point guard to Skylar Diggins-Smith.
