NFL Draft Play Football Clinic and Character Playbook Hour

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Today, Wednesday April 25th, marks the eve of the three-day event 2018 NFL Draft. AT&T Stadium hosted the NFL Draft Play Football Clinic and Character Playbook Hour. NFL Draft prospects lead more than 125 local middle school students in the Character Playbook Hour. Participants learned on-field techniques from prospects at multiple football skill and drill stations including passing and receiving. The Clinic took place on the Play Football Field presented by Danimals.

The 2018 NFL Prospects in attendance: Jaire Alexander, Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Taven Bryan, Bradley Chubb, Sam Darnold, Marcus Davenport, Tremaine Edmunds, Rashaan Evans, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Derwin James, Shaquem Griffin, Derrius Guice, Josh Jackson, Lamar Jackson, Kolton Miller, Josh Rosen, Roquan Smith, Leighton Vander Esch, Vita Vea, Denzel Ward, and Connor Williams.

Dallas Cowboys Center Travis Frederick acted as emcee for the Character Playbook Hour, where draft prospects and local students partnered together to answer questions and complete tasks. Following the show, former Cowboy star DeMarcus Ware spoke to students and had a Q&A discussion with Frederick along with the prospects, on the importance of character.

We had the opportunity to talk with NFL Draft Prospect Josh Rosen, about what has been the driving force to this remarkable moment in his career and he stated “ The joy of winning as a team. There are so many moving parts in Football: Coaches always being a support to players. All the moving parts on the field and executives: When all that stuff comes together in a game and you have hundreds of people watching that are happy with the outcome, I think that is a really cool feeling. “

Rosen is looking forward to “getting to play with the best “ as he transitions from the college level of play to the NFL. He wants to have the opportunity to, “ stand on the field with the greatest who have played the game. I want to hold my own and I want to belong. I want to be the kind of player to earn a kid’s respect.”

Rosen’s humbleness, drive, and exuberance for this moment in his career were inspiring. The best of luck to Rosen and all 2018 NFL Draft prospects!!
