Cowboys, Eagles Look to Rebound in Crucial NFC East Showdown

PHILADELPHIA — The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles enter Monday night’s NFC East matchup looking for answers after difficult starts to the 2026 season.

Both teams are 2-4, making their Week 7 meeting at Lincoln Financial Field an important opportunity to regain momentum and stay in the division race.

Dallas is coming off a 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers, its second consecutive defeat. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 34 of 54 passes for 258 yards, throwing one touchdown and two interceptions. The Cowboys have struggled to establish consistency on offense and will need a more balanced attack against Philadelphia.

The Eagles have their own challenges. Philadelphia has lost four straight games and is dealing with the absence of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is recovering from a serious blood-clot condition. Tanner McKee is expected to make his second consecutive start.

Philadelphia could receive a boost from running back Saquon Barkley, who has been sidelined by a hamstring injury. His potential return would give the Eagles another option as they attempt to revive a struggling ground game.

For Dallas, defensive consistency and improved execution will be critical. The Cowboys also hope to benefit from linebacker DeMarvion Overshown’s return after he missed several games with a hamstring injury.

With both teams searching for a turnaround, the rivalry carries added significance. A victory would provide a much-needed lift and strengthen either team’s position in a wide-open NFC East.

The Cowboys visit the Eagles on Monday, Oct. 26, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Eastern (7:15 p.m. Central). The game will air nationally on ESPN and ABC.

D210SPORTS will continue its coverage of the Cowboys as the Week 7 showdown approaches.
