NEW YORK — With No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg sidelined for a fourth consecutive game because of a sprained left foot, the Dallas Mavericks relied on balance and efficiency to handle the Brooklyn Nets 123-114 on Wednesday night.
Dallas shot 58.5% from the field and placed four players in double figures.
Marvin Bagley III scored 22 points, working effectively in the paint and converting second-chance opportunities. Naji Marshall added 21 points, attacking the rim and delivering timely baskets to keep Brooklyn at bay.
Brandon Williams finished with 19 points and 10 assists, controlling the tempo and creating open looks throughout the night. Klay Thompson contributed 17 points, including key jumpers in the second half as the Mavericks maintained their cushion.
Despite missing Flagg, Dallas showed offensive rhythm and depth, using crisp ball movement to generate high-percentage shots and secure the win.
