Luis Perez Named UFL Offensive Player of the Week

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Arlington Renegades quarterback Luis Perez earned Week 10 Offensive Player of the Week honors after a standout performance in the team’s 23-6 win over the San Antonio Brahmas.

Perez completed 26 of 32 passes for 283 yards and added a rushing touchdown, leading Arlington to four straight scoring drives in the first half. His control of the offense and poise in the red zone helped seal the Renegades’ fifth win of the season.

It was a fitting end to a strong campaign for Perez, who remains one of the most reliable quarterbacks in spring football.

Ndongo (Jimmy) Njie Jr.  is a recent graduate at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Broadcasting. Throughout his time at UTA, Jimmy did sport reporting for UTA Radio and explored many ventures such as hosting his own sports radio show once a week, covering the Arlington Renegades, reporting for UTA Mens and Women's Basketball.
