SMU Extends Win Streak to Seven Games with Victory Over Longwood

DALLAS, TEXAS — SMU secured its seventh consecutive win, defeating Longwood 98-82. This marks the program’s longest streak since an eight-game run during the 2021-22 season. The Mustangs improved to 11-2 overall, their best start since 2020-21, and 7-1 at Moody Coliseum.

Dominant Runs Propel SMU:
The Mustangs showcased multiple scoring bursts, including a 15-3 run to open the second half and a 10-0 run spanning halftime. SMU has posted 14 runs of at least 10-0 this season, with five coming in the past three games.

Stat Leaders vs. Longwood:

  • Boopie Miller: Season-high 24 points, 7 assists.
  • Yohan Traore: 20 points, 11 rebounds (2nd double-double).
  • Matt Cross: 19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists.
