No Luka No Problem, Mavericks Move To 2-1 In Series Against The Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – The Dallas Mavericks continue to dominate without Luka and beat the Utah Jazz at home in a 126-118. Jalen Brunson led the charge yet again tonight, he had 31 for Dallas.

Dallas had a solid first half taking a 18 point lead into the locker room and it was the bench that got him there. The bench had 44 points tonight between Maxi Kleber, Davis Bertans and Josh Green.

The Jazz did make a comeback in the third quarter outscoring Dallas 40-29 but it was the Mavs defense that held them into this game.

The Mavs offense seems to be contagious during the time they need it the most, when they are without Luka. Dallas shot 49 percent from the field and 42 percent from the three-point line converting on 18-of-42 three-pointers. The Mavs had made 13 three-pointers enter the half while the Jazz had just three.

Another big category that led Dallas to a win was rebounding. In the first two games Utah crashed the boards hard out rebounding us by at least 20. Tonight both teams were tied at 32 apiece.

Utah did beat us in points in the paint but our stellar three-point shooting rallied Dallas to their second straight win over Utah.

The Third game will be in Utah Friday at 3:30 PM.
