Mavs Battle for a Playoff Seeding Against Timberwolves

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (43-28) are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves (42-30) in American Airlines on Monday night. Tip off is set for 7:30 CST.

The Mavs after winning eight of their last nine games, have dropped their last two. This is the first time since early February that Dallas has lost two in a row.  Dallas lost their last game on Saturday afternoon 129-108 to the Charlotte Hornets.

Luka Doncic dropped 37 points against the Hornets, but being the only one to produce offensively during that game left the Mavs short.

Dallas is 1-1 against the Timberwolves and the Mavs trail by two games for the fourth place spot in the Western Conference by the Jazz.

The Timberwolves are on a hot streak, they have won four consecutive games and 10 of their last 11. Their last game was a blowout on Saturday afternoon to the Milwaukee Bucks. They won 138-119 and they were led by Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton with 15 points a piece.

They hold the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference but have the same record as the Denver Nuggets at 42-30.

The Timberwolves are a good NBA basketball team. They started the season 4-9 and since then they have one of the best records in the NBA (fifth). They are currently a game and a half with that being said the Mavs are favored to win tonight’s game.
