Mavs Fourth Quarter Comeback Pushes Dallas To A 111-101 Win Over The Nuggets

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (9-4) make a fourth quarter comeback beating the Denver Nuggets (9-5) 111-101 Monday night in American Airlines Center. Dallas stopped the Nuggets five-game win streak with a stellar performance from Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

Porzingis led Dallas tonight with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. Doncic added 23 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists. Doncic and Porzingis have been working well together the last couple of games and when they do the Mavs are hard to beat.

Jalen Brunson had another good game for Dallas adding 17 points, two rebounds, and nine assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Porzingis helped push the Mavs in the fourth quarter to a win over the Nuggets. Denver went into the fourth up 83-79. Dallas went on a 6-0 run to start the fourth and it continued throughout the entire quarter. The Mavs outscored the Nuggets in the fourth 32-18 and took the win.

Dallas shot 50 percent from the floor, that’s higher than we have seen this season. The Mavs offense has had a slow start to the 2021-22 season.

Nikola Jokic had a night for Denver leading the Nuggets with 35 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists. Monte Morris added 17 points, two rebounds, and eight assists.

The series is now tied at 1-1 and these two teams will not play each other again until after the new year on January third.

Dallas will go on the road and hit the West Coast to play the Suns and the Clippers. They have four road games before returning back to Dallas on Saturday November 27 to face off the Wizards at 7:30 P.M.
