QB Andy Dalton Silences Rumors of Replacing Dak

FRISCO, TEXAS — Andy Dalton silenced the notion that he will replace Dak Prescott.

Dalton told Dallas media; “ I knew the situation coming in here…Dak’s the starter on this team.”

He has been the starter throughout his career in Cincinnati but will be taking a lesser role. His goal is to use his nine-year veteran experience to help out Dak and the offense in any way he can, and he expressed that message to Dak in a text he sent following his signing. Dalton was given other offers but felt Dallas was the best fit for his family and stepping stone to the second half of his career. He will be an insurance policy for the Cowboys at QB2.

The 32-year old grew up in Katy, Texas and played college ball at TCU. Dalton is thrilled to be back in Texas, where his family has spent the offseason.

“ A lot of ties and roots. I spent a lot of my life this way…Fells like home-A luxury.”
