Mavericks Fall Short To Nuggets

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Mavs fall to 23-14 on the year with Wednesday night’s loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Mavs led at the end of each of the first 3 quarters, but ended up losing 107-106, unable to get a shot off as time expired.

Luke Doncic led the Mavs with 27-points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. He was followed by Dwight Powell with 16-points and Tim Hardaway Jr. with 15. 
Nuggets center, Nikola Jokic came into tonight’s game off a career high night against the Atlanta Hawks and had another outstanding performance. He ended the night as the only 30 point contributor from either team, with 31-points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The Nuggets are now 26-11 on the year. 

This series evens to 1-1 on the year, with 2 more matchups before the playoffs. The next time the teams play will be March 11th in American Airlines Center.

Up next, LeBron James vs Luka Doncic, Friday Jan. 10, when Dallas hosts the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are 1st in the Western Conference, so this will be another big conference game for the Mavs. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN, tip-off at 8:45 CT.
