FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys are close to adding another weapon to their defensive front.
Dallas is finalizing a trade with the Green Bay Packers to acquire former Pro Bowl defensive end Rashan Gary in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick, according to reports.
Gary gives the Cowboys an experienced edge rusher with a history of disrupting quarterbacks. The former first-round pick developed into one of Green Bay’s top defensive playmakers during his time with the Packers, earning Pro Bowl recognition while consistently generating pressure off the edge.
The move signals Dallas’ continued focus on strengthening its pass rush heading into the upcoming season. Adding Gary provides the Cowboys with another proven defender capable of impacting the pocket and creating opportunities for the rest of the defense.
For Green Bay, the deal moves a veteran defender as the organization continues shaping its roster for the future.
If finalized, Gary is expected to step into Dallas’ defensive rotation immediately, giving the Cowboys another disruptive presence along the defensive line.
