DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks couldn’t turn interior success into a win, falling 118-105 despite scoring 60 points in the paint.
P.J. Washington Jr. led Dallas with 21 points in his first start since mid-January, while Naji Marshall added 18 to extend his streak of 15-point games to eight. Brandon Williams chipped in 17 off the bench, continuing his productive season as a reserve.
Caleb Martin pulled down a season-high eight rebounds, but Dallas couldn’t keep pace late. Julius Randle powered the opposition with 31 points, and Anthony Davis posted 20 points, six rebounds and six assists as the Mavericks faded down the stretch.
