DALLAS — The Mavericks have officially rounded out Jason Kidd’s coaching staff for the 2025-26 season, headlined by the addition of Frank Vogel as associate head coach. Vogel, who won a title with the Lakers in 2020 alongside Kidd, spent last season as a consultant in Dallas.
Joining Vogel are veteran coaches Jay Triano, Popeye Jones, Phil Handy, Mike Penberthy, Dru Anthrop, and Jordan Sears. The group brings multiple championship rings, player development expertise, and familiarity with the Mavs organization.
Sears, former head coach of the Texas Legends, and Anthrop, a Vogel assistant in Phoenix, add continuity. Handy and Penberthy reunite with Kidd from the Lakers’ title run, while Jones returns to Dallas with a championship from Denver.
Returning assistants Eric Hughes, Josh Broghamer, and Keith Veney round out a staff rich in experience and championship DNA.
