FRISCO, TX — The Dallas Cowboys are sticking with rookie quarterback Joe Milton III for one more look.
Ahead of Friday’s preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer confirmed Milton will get the starting nod at quarterback — a move that comes despite growing concerns after two rocky showings under center.
Milton has led the Cowboys’ offense in both preseason outings, but his struggles have sparked debate about his readiness and future role. His latest performance — a 48.8 passer rating in the loss to the Ravens — did little to silence the skeptics.
Still, Dallas appears determined to give the Milton one more shot to prove he belongs in the quarterback room once final roster cuts loom.
The Cowboys wrap their preseason slate Friday night in Arlington with several key roster decisions hanging in the balance — and for Milton, the pressure is on.
