FC Dallas Earns Point on the Road in 1-1 Draw with Austin FC

AUSTIN, TEXAS — FC Dallas (7-11-8) settled for a 1-1 draw against Austin FC (9-8-8) Saturday night at Q2 Stadium, with defender Shaq Moore netting the lone goal for Dallas in the 37th minute.

Moore’s third goal of the season—a career high—came off an assist from Petar Musa, who now leads the team with six assists and 19 total goal contributions. Midfielder Christian Cappis made his first start since joining the club in July, bringing control to the middle of the pitch.

The match also featured former Dallas head coach Nico Estévez now at the helm for Austin, and ex-FCD winger Jáder Obrian coming off the bench late in the match.

Dallas moves to 7-3-3 all-time against Austin and 2-2-2 at Q2 Stadium.

Next up, Dallas returns home to face LAFC on Saturday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
