BALTIMORE — Jacob deGrom was nearly untouchable Wednesday night, taking a no-hitter into the eighth as the Rangers cruised past the Orioles 7-0 at Camden Yards.
The veteran right-hander retired the first 18 batters and didn’t allow a hit until Colton Cowser’s leadoff single in the eighth broke up the bid. deGrom finished with seven strikeouts, two walks, and threw 59 of 89 pitches for strikes, earning his fourth straight win.
Texas gave him plenty of support. Josh Jung led the way with three RBI, including a two-run homer. Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, and Adolis García all chipped in during a three-run fourth, and Jonah Heim added a solo shot in the sixth.
Baltimore managed just one hit for the third time this season. Texas’ bullpen closed the door with six straight outs from Jacob Webb and Cole Winn.
The Rangers have now won four straight road series and 11 of deGrom’s 16 starts.
