ARLINGTON, Texas — Dallas Wings guard Ty Harris will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season after undergoing a successful procedure on her left knee. The surgery was performed Tuesday by Dr. Tariq Hendawi at Trinity Park Surgical Center in Arlington. While Harris is expected to make a full recovery, no specific timetable has been released. The team noted that further updates will be shared as they become available.
Harris, who rejoined Dallas this offseason in a multi-team deal, began her career with the Wings after being selected seventh overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft. She appeared in 88 games during her initial stint with the franchise before spending two seasons with the Connecticut Sun. The South Carolina product earned league-wide recognition in 2023 by leading the WNBA in three-point percentage (.464).
The 5-foot-10 guard saw limited action this season, appearing in five contests while averaging 4.6 points, 2.6 assists, and shooting 45.5% from beyond the arc—tops on the Wings roster. Her most notable performance came in Atlanta, where she posted 10 points off the bench on May 24.
A former NCAA champion and South Carolina’s all-time assists leader, Harris brought both leadership and efficiency to the Wings’ backcourt. Her absence will be a significant loss for a Dallas team still seeking consistency early in the season.
