Wings Rally Falls Short Against Unbeaten Lynx

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Dallas Wings erased a 17-point deficit and cut the lead to one entering the fourth, but couldn’t complete the comeback in an 81-65 loss to the undefeated Minnesota Lynx at College Park Center.

Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 26 points, while Maddy Siegrist posted her first career double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds). The Wings outscored Minnesota 17-4 to end the third, holding the Lynx to a season-low 11 points, but were held scoreless for nearly four minutes to start the fourth.

Minnesota responded with a 24-9 final frame, led by Napheesa Collier’s 28-point, 10-rebound effort. Dallas shot just 29.2% overall and committed 17 turnovers, despite winning the rebounding battle 41-37 and going 19-of-23 at the line.

Dallas (1-9) visits the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday at 9 p.m. CT.
