Jets Shut Out Stars to Even Series

WINNIPEG The Winnipeg Jets bounced back in a big way Friday night, blanking the Dallas Stars 4-0 to even their second-round playoff series at 1-1.

Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 21 shots he faced, earning his fourth career postseason shutout and anchoring a complete team effort. Winnipeg jumped ahead early with goals from Gabriel Vilardi and Nikolaj Ehlers in the opening frame. Adam Lowry added a third in the second period, and Ehlers sealed the win with an empty-netter late in the third.

Dallas struggled to generate offense and couldn’t solve Hellebuyck, while Jake Oettinger also made 21 saves at the other end. The series now heads to Dallas for Game 3 on Sunday.
