SAN DIEGO — FC Dallas saw its club-record road unbeaten streak snapped in a 5-0 loss to expansion side San Diego FC on Saturday night at Snapdragon Stadium.
The defeat ends Dallas’ six-game road streak to start the season, which was the fourth longest in MLS history. Dallas (4-4-3, 15 points) is now 3-1-3 away from home.
“We had early chances and didn’t finish,” head coach Eric Quill said. “They got a penalty and the game flipped. Credit to San Diego.”
The loss marks the second straight against an expansion opponent for Dallas, which fell to St. Louis CITY SC in August 2023. Dallas is now 12-7-4 all-time against expansion teams.
Next, Dallas hosts USL League One club AV ALTA FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 on Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT at Toyota Stadium.
