CHICAGO — The Dallas Mavericks secured a crucial 120-119 win over the Chicago Bulls, bolstering their place in the Western Conference play-in race. Klay Thompson led with 20 points, hitting two clutch free throws in the final seconds. P.J. Washington added 19 points, while Anthony Davis struggled from the field but still contributed 18 points.

Chicago’s Matas Buzelis shined with 28 points, while Coby White and Nikola Vucevic each had 25. Despite leading by 12 late in the fourth, the Bulls couldn’t hold off Dallas’ rally.

The Mavericks (37-38) have won four of their last five, solidifying the ninth spot in the West. They face Brooklyn next, while the Bulls (33-41) visit Oklahoma City.
