TCU Dominates Louisiana 34-3 in Isleta New Mexico Bowl

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — TCU capped its season with a dominant 34-3 victory over Louisiana in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl, finishing 9-4 and winning six of its last seven games. The Horned Frogs, under head coach Sonny Dykes, secured their third nine-win season since 2015. Dykes now has 27 wins at TCU, trailing only Dutch Meyer (29) for most by a head coach in his first three seasons.

  • TCU’s bowl record improves to 12-3 over the last 20 seasons, the best nationally among teams with at least 10 bowl appearances.
  • The Frogs are now 22-3 under Dykes when leading at halftime.

  • Josh Hoover passed for 252 yards and broke TCU’s single-season passing record with 3,949 yards. He tied his career-high with four touchdown passes.
  • Devean Deal, the defensive MVP, recorded a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.
  • Eric McAlister caught eight passes for 87 yards and a touchdown, with six catches converting first downs.
  • Cam Smith and Jordan Lester each grabbed an interception.
  • Kyle Lemmermann nailed field goals of 45 and 22 yards.

The Horned Frogs held Louisiana to 209 yards and never let up after building a 27-0 halftime lead.
