FC Dallas Hosts Hollywood, When LAFC Comes To Town

FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas has just five games left to make the play-in game of the MLS Cup Playoffs. Currently in 11th in the Western Conference, Dallas (9-13-7) needs to make up five points to avoid missing the postseason after two consecutive appearances.

The first of the next five is against 3rd place, LAFC (14-7-7).

While FCD is looking to make the playoffs, LA is looking to secure its spot: a win on the road in Dallas would clinch its third consecutive postseason appearance.

However, LAFC has historically not been so great at Toyota Stadium, only winning one of their last five games in FCD territory.

FCD lost at LAFC 0-1 back in June, and while LAFC is near the top of the Western Conference now, they’ve struggled in their past few games, currently on a four-game winless streak. FCD, on the other hand, has only won one of its last seven matchups.

Forward Petar Musa leads FCD with 14 goals scored in league play, while LAFC’s Denis Bouanga has 17 goals, one of which was scored against FCD in their matchup earlier this season.

LAFC also now has Olivier Giroud, French World Cup winner, who joined the club earlier this summer. And don’t forget Mateusz Bogusz, who has scored 14 goals himself this season for LAFC.

The post season is on the line for FCD, when this game kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
