Wings Come Up Short To The Mystics

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — A rough first half for The Dallas Wings led them to trouble, as The Washington Mystics capitalized on opportunity and coverted on transition baskets.

Washington pulled away in the second half with a final score 90-86.

This marks back-to-back consecutive losses for the Wings, just after Sunday’s loss to The Indiana Fever (100-93).

Arike Ogunbowale finished with 21 points and 4 assists. Teaira MaCowan added 20 points and 13 rebounds, snatching her 11th double-double on the season.

Emily Engstler led the Mystics with a double-double of her own, walking away with 19 points and 10 rebounds on tonight’s victory.

Dallas (9-24) will travel Friday to face off against the Atlanta Dream (11-21). Tip off is slated for 6:30 PM CT, and will broadcast live on ION.
