Mavericks Remain Undefeated Beating Bulls, 114-105

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (3-0) hosted the Chicago Bulls (2-2) on Wednesday evening inside American Airlines Center. Coming into this game Dallas was one of four teams left in the NBA that is still undefeated. Luka Doncic came into this game having the most points through three games since Steph Curry in 2015 with 117 points in the first three games.

The first half was back and forth by both teams. Doncic had a slow first half only having eight points entering the half. Dallas was only down one 50-49 at the half. Despite Doncic not having 100 points in the first half, his teammates stepped up, Grant Williams being one of them. He had 13 in the first half. The Mavs were shooting well everywhere except for the free throw line. They were 43 percent from the floor and 39 percent from downtown. They struggled at the line shooting 6-of-11 at 54 percent.

The second half was all Williams. He carried the team while Doncic was having a rough night.

Head coach Jason Kidd spoke on it after the game. He said Doncic relied on his teammates tonight and didn’t feel the need to take control of the game. His teammates came through and finished the job tonight.

After tonight’s game the Mavs are one of two teams left that are undefeated. Them and the Boston Celtics.

Dallas will head to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Friday night at 9pm.
