SMU Looks To Bounce Back Against Prairie View A&M

DALLAS, Texas — Last week the SMU Mustangs took a loss to the Oklahoma Sooners 28-11.

The Mustangs outgained the Sooners in total yards, 367-365. SMU had 10 different players catch a pass for the second straight game. Mustangs Quarterback Preston Stone threw for 250 yards and one touchdown. Running back Jaylen Knighton rushed for 76 yards.

With this loss in week two, SMU is now 1-1. The Mustangs prepare to take on HBCU Prairie View A&M on its home turf Saturday at Gerald Ford Stadium.

Prairie View dropped its home opener last weekend to Abilene Christian, 45-16.  Quarterback Trazon Connley leads the team in passing with 465 yards and two passing touchdowns.  

This will be the first meeting between SMU and Prairie View A&M. Kick off is set for 6pm CT.
