Arlington Renegades vs San Antonio Brahmas Preview

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Arlington Renegades are preparing for week four against the San Antonio Brahams. The Renegades are currently 3-1 so far this season. The goal for the team is to get some wins back. Head coach Bob Stoops discusses what he plans to work on for offense and defense as there must be some necessary changes in order to get Arlington back on track.

Stoops on offense needing to execute more, “There is no reason for us to not move the football. In order for us to get a win this weekend we need to run the football better and protect our quarterback.”

Stoops also discussed the situation with his two quarterbacks on who will be starting against the Brahmas. Drew Plitt and Kyle Slotter are both 1-1 on starting quarterbacks. Stoop’s plans are to see how the rest of this week’s practices go and see who is going to fight for that starting position, but he is also not opposed to utilizing both quarterbacks in the game.

Stoops, ”I’ve seen many teams in the league use both their quarterbacks their entire game and it’s working for them. Every quarterback has different strengths to bring to the table, so we may have to try that as an option but we’re going to see what the guys show in the rest of this week’s practices first.”

As far as defense goes, Stoops knows that defense wins games. He’s hoping Arlington can stretch the defense and get as many stops as possible.
