Grizzlies vs. Mavericks Preview

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks are preparing to take on the Memphis Grizzlies one more time in the 2022-2023 season. Dallas just came off the road from a loss against the Grizzlies this past Saturday with that final score being 112-108. The Mavericks drastically need to find their flow to gain more wins in order to keep them in play off territory.

This will be a tricky game for both teams as the Mavs will not have Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving is questionable for Monday night. Memphis is still without star player Ja Morant, so you could say everyone is relying heavily on the talent coming from the back ups.

For the Grizzlies backup point guard Tyus Jones has at least softened the blow at times. Expect him to step up once again against the Mavs.

Mavericks rookie Jaden Hardy earned his first NBA start on Saturday. He continues to show progress in his development. Hardy finished with 22 points, two rebounds, and three assists in 37 minutes. One of the most compelling elements of Hardy’s scoring ability is the flashes he shows as a perimeter shot creator. It’s hard to find players comfortable and effective at creating space and shooting it down from deep.

Expect Hardy to make some big plays happen at The American Airlines Center. Tip off is at 6:30 CT.
