SMU vs South Florida Preview

DALLAS, Texas – SMU will play South Florida on the road on Saturday, November 11th, as they hope to secure a win for bowl eligibility.

No one, including the Mustang coaches, are quiet sure of what kind of opponent they will be facing on Saturday, as South Florida fired their head coach, Jeff Scott, and lost their defensive coordinator.

“We know we’re going to get something different from what they’ve done,” Head Coach Rhett Lashlee told media earlier this week. “We just don’t know what to expect.”

SMU seems to be healing up, after facing multiple injuries this season. This week at practice, defensive lineman Stephon Wright, defensive end Gary Wiley and Jayden Jones, were all back and working with staff.

Tight end Ben Redding is unfortunately out for the season with an ankle injury he suffered against Houston. Ben took to Instagram earlier this week writing, “I’m beyond bblessed to have been able to live out my dream of playing college football. While that part of my story has come to an end, the relationships and memories I made during those quick five years will last a lifetime.”
