SMU vs Tulsa Preview

DALLAS, Texas – SMU is set to play Tulsa at their home stadium in Oklahoma on Saturday, October, 28th at 2:30 p.m. CT.

The Mustangs are coming off a tough two point loss to Cincinnati, and are currently 3-3. Not only is SMU traveling for this game, they might be playing with a different starting quarterback, as Tanner Mordecai is still recovering from his injury last game.

Tulsa has won the last two matchups between the teams, and SMU has not won at Oklahoma since 2009.

SMU played a strong defensive game last week, holding the Bearcats to their second lowest yardage output of the season. Tulsa also has a solid defensive group, known for slowing explosive games.

“Obviously we’re frustrated with the outcome, to be so close, but I think they fought their tails off and we definitely kept us in the game with how we played,” Symons told reporter earlier this week.

Saturday’s game might be the battle of the defenses to see if SMU can break Tulsa’s winning streak, or if Tulsa will claim yet another home victory over the Mustangs.
