FC Dallas vs Inter Miami CF Preview

FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas goes head to head with Inter Miami CF for the first time this season on Monday, July 4th at the Toyota Stadium.

Dallas seems to have hit their first slump under head coach Nico Estévez winning only one of their last six games. Last week the team suffered a 2-0 loss over Los Angeles FC, but thanks to their strong first half of the season, the team still sits fifth in the Western Conference. With two derby games coming up in the schedule, a home win this Monday would help build momentum and boost the team’s morale.

Coming into this week’s game, Miami holds the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference and have won three of their last four matchups. However they have been outscored 5-0 in their last four road games.

FC Dallas head coach Nico Estévez says the team looks to get back on track defensively as they move forward in the season. “I think we are making mistakes and we have to improve in our defensive position, improve inour mid-block and low block defending. We need to get back to being the solid team that we were at the beginning of the season and I think sometimes in the season distance happens but offensively, we are understanding and creating goal scoring opportunities.”

Kick-off is 8 PM on Monday, July 4 at Toyota Stadium.
