Mavericks Win Big Over Portland 128-78

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (51-30) defeat the Portland Trail Blazers(27-54) 128-78 on Friday night in American Airlines Center. 

Dallas wasted no time taking a big lead over Portland. They took a 23-point lead at the end of the first quarter and it only grew from there. 

Mavs shot well from the floor at 53 percent. They were making it rain from three, they shot 20-of-45 from beyond the arc for 44 percent. 

Luka Doncic scored 39 for the Mavs and had 11 rebounds. He shot 7-of-14 from beyond the arc and made six three pointers in the third quarter. 

Doncic did get his 16th technical foul today which means that he will be suspended for the Mav’s final game of their regular season on Sunday against the Spurs. Tip off is set for 8:30 PM. 

The Mavs did get win no. 51 tonight and secured home court advantage for the first round of the NBA Playoffs. This is the first time the Mavs have secured home court advantage since in 2011 when they won the NBA Championship. 

The first game of the NBA Playoffs will be either Saturday the 16th or Sunday the 17th.
