AUSTIN, TX – TCU (17-8, 6-7) will head to Austin to take on No. 20 Texas (19-8, 8-6) on Wednesday night. These two in-state teams and Big 12 battle will go head to head at 6 PM. Texas beat TCU earlier this season by 23 points in Fort Worth.

TCU is coming off of a 10-point win over West Virginia on Monday. It was a team win for TCU, all five starters scored in double-figures and they all contributed to a much needed win. The Frogs were on a three game losing streak before that West Virginia win.

The Frogs capitalized on rebounding against the Mountaineers which gave them a lot of second chance opportunities which led them to a 10-point victory. They also shot the ball better than they have this season at 45 percent from the floor. What helped them get good shots off was their great ball movement throughout the entire game.

“We had good passing, good decision making, good job entering the lane”, Coach Dixon said post game on Monday night.

A big thing TCU will have to do against this ranked Texas team is protect the ball better. Turnovers have been a big problem for the Frogs all season and it continues to be one. TCU had 16 turnovers against West Virginia and that isn’t going to work against a team like Texas.

“We just have to cut down on turnovers. We are working on it and we are just going to have to keep working on it.” Coach Dixon explained after the game.

Texas is coming off of a disappointing 61-55 loss to No. 9 Texas Tech on Friday night. This in-state rivalry game was hot and steaming the entire game. Tech was big on the boards and that’s what ultimately led them to a win over Texas.
