SMU MBB vs. McNeese (Preview)

DALLAS, TEXAS — SMU Men’s Basketball opens their 2021 schedule, hosting McNeese this evening. The Mustangs are 41-4 in regular season non-conference games on their home court. Tim Jankovich enters his 6th season as Head Coach with over 100 wins in that role already.

Point Guard, Kendric Davis returns as a 1st team All-American Athletic Conference preseason selection. Davis led the league in scoring, averaging 19 points per game last season. Davis returning will be huge for the Mustangs, especially as they welcome a mostly new roster.

Emmanuel Bandoumel and Isiah Jasey also return for the Mustangs. The majority of the new faces come from transfers from Sam Houston, Duquesne, Texas Southern, Baylor, and Loyola Chicago. 4 high school recruits will make their college debut, including McDonalds All-American nominee, Tyler Lundblade.

The Mustangs will play to win their 10th straight season opener. Tip off will be at 7 pm in Moody Coliseum.
