Wings Fly Over Sky 100-91

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings pulled out a much need win Friday night in game two against the Chicago Sky. After losing to Chicago last Wednesday, Dallas came back with the win, 100 – 91.

Chicago took the first quarter, but Dallas kept the score close ending the first quarter, 27 – 26. In the second quarter, the Wings managed to come back and take the lead with Marina Mabrey pushing her team ahead with a three-pointer making the score 48 – 51 at the end of the first half.

Mabrey tied her career-high with 28 points, scoring 17 of them in the first half. This will be her seventh 20 point game.

The second half was an intense battle of hard defense from both teams. The teams stayed tied for most of the fourth quarter, but Chicago let the Wings pull ahead, winning by 9 points.

Six of Dallas players got in the double digits again with Arike Ogunbowale scoring 18. Also contributing to their win, Satou Sabally assisted her team with 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 12 points.

The Wings will be traveling to Barclays Arena to face off against the New York Liberty Monday July 5th.
