FC Dallas Changing It’s Focus

FRISCO, Texas — After week one and draw against the Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez has switched gears and changed focused. on new plays to make sure they can keep that fire defense we saw at last Saturday’s game, but also make sure they score.

Midfielder Paxton Pomykal says, “Every year changes with different players. That’s what we do, that’s what keeps the team on their toes. This past week we have evaluated where we are as a team and where we need to be. The first game we integrated well and we understand each other, we just need to push harder in this next game.” Pomykal has changed himself physically and mentally. Due to an injury last season, he’s focused on lifting and working on his upper body and he’s feeling like his new muscle mass can keep up with his speed.

Coach Gonzalez wanted to make it clear that he put a line up on the first game that he felt was best suited. Gonzales stated “We’re still getting some players ready to play but with sometime and a little bit of improvement, you will see a lot of switch ups on the field.”

FC Dallas faces the San Jose Earthquakes this Saturday, April 24th.
