Morgan Alexander is an Upstate New York native who moved an hour south to attend college. She graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Communications and a minor in Political Science in 2019. She then went on to receive her masters in Broadcast Digital Journalism with a sports communication emphasis from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. After her masters, she returned for a sixth year at Syracuse and received a Certificate of Advanced Study in Intercollegiate Athletic Advising.
While attending Syracuse University, she was a member of the women’s lacrosse team for six years – a program that is ranked in the top four in the country. She participated in two final fours and one national championship. Her love for sports comes from playing at the highest level and enjoying the competitive atmosphere that sports brings to the table.
Morgan has a strong passion for mental health awareness and is part of a mental health/suicide prevention organization called Morgan’s Message. She also created her own sweatshirt company in support of positive mental health. She has sold over 300 sweatshirts and continues to push to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.
