DALLAS, TX — The Dallas Mavericks (14-15) defeat the Grizzlies (13-14) in a 102-92 after a week full of snow closes Texas and postpones Dallas’s last two games.

This game was all defense for Dallas, which has been questionable all season. The Mavericks have lost some close games this season due to their fluctuating defense. That was not the story tonight, they kept the Grizzlies to just 13 points in the first quarter and under 100 points for the game.

The second quarter was a continued show of good defense by the Mavericks. Under pressure, the Grizzlies started to turn the ball over. Memphis had 13 turnovers on the night.

The Mavericks were knocking down shots tonight converting on 44 percent from the floor and 44 percent from beyond the arc going into the half up 54-36.

The third quarter Luca Doncic started to heat up, he had seven points in the first half and ended the night with 21 points. Tim Hardaway Jr. came off the bench and led the Mavericks with 29 points and four rebounds.

The Fourth quarter was icing on the cake as the Mavericks managed to play an entire game with consistent defense. If the Mavericks continue to play consistent defense and they can shoot the ball well their season has a bright future.

The Mavericks are back in American Airlines Center tomorrow to take on the Celtics. Tip off is set for 6:30 p.m.
