Cowboys Trade With Rival Eagles To Move Up, Snagging C Tyler Biadasz

FRISCO, TEXAS — The Dallas Cowboys traded with the Philadelphia Eagles to receive a second selection in the fourth round to grab center Tyler Biadasz out of Wisconsin. The Eagles gave up the No.146 pick to Dallas for their first fifth round pick (No.164) and a 2021 fifth round pick.

Biadasz was a three-year starting center for the Badgers offensive line. He does a good job gaining leverage on defenders to create open lanes for runners, allowing them to get to the second level. He started every game with Jonathan Taylor the last three years and was the centerpiece of a line that paved the way for one of college football’s elite rushers. Taylor accumulated 6,174 rushing yards, 50 touchdowns, and averaged 6.7 yards per carry from 2017-2019.

Throughout his college career, Biadasz looked up to former Cowboys’ center Travis Frederick. He told Dallas media, “I try molding my game like his. He is one of the greats- an animal. Our body types are similar.”

The Cowboys met with Biadiasz twice throughout the pre-draft process, at the combine and once outside the combine. He is honored to walk in the footsteps of another former Wisconsin player that he admired growing up in Travis. Frederick announced his retirement during the offseason and Dallas moved up to snag Biadasz and add depth at the position.
