Mavericks Hope To Have Kristaps Porzingis Tonight Vs Clippers

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks host the LA Clippers tonight at the American Airlines Center for the only NBA game of the day.

The Mavs (27-15) are hoping Kristaps Porzingis will be ready to play tonight, as he has missed the last 10 games with right knee soreness. Porzingis is averaging 17.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game this season. Dallas went 6-4 during the stretch Porzingis was out, but are currently riding a 4-game win streak.

The Clippers (30-13) are on a 3-game winning streak, but will be without one of their main stars, Paul George, tonight for the 5th consecutive game. George is out dealing with a strained left hamstring. During his absences Kawhi Leonard has scored atleast 30 points in every game for the Clippers.

Dallas will have their hands full trying to contain Leonard, but should be very well rested as they have had a full three days off at home since their last game. Luka Doncic will look to offset Leonard’s scoring, as he is almost averaging a triple-double this season at 28.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game.

Dallas will look to even the series up against the Clippers, who got a big win against the Mavs in late November. Tip-off is set for 7:30pm.
