Cowboys Players Take On Local Youth in Taste of the Cowboys Challenge

FRISCO, Texas — As part of the Taste of the Cowboys Challenge, a youth cooking competition presented by Dairy MAX and supported by Legends and Albertsons Tom Thumb. Friday night the Dallas Cowboys players were faced off against five high school culinary teams at The Star in Frisco.

Mesquite ISD John Horne High School won the competition and were coached by Legends Chef Ubaldo Prado.

The winning menu was:
Appetizer – Tuna Salad Bites
Entrée –Chicken Biscuit Sandwich with Ranch Beans
Dessert – Mini Fruit Parfaits

John Horne High School will receive grant money for their school.

All student-teams will also received a gift card from Albertsons Tom Thumb to use in stocking their school kitchens.

The youth culinary event is part of the Dallas Cowboys Taste of the Cowboys partnership with the North Texas Food Bank which celebrates its 15th anniversary this Sunday, May 5 with its annual restaurant showcase on field at Ford Center.
